There seems to be out there in knitting land a bit of confusion to the written pattern of Creeping Vines that I posted in my stitch library.
There were a couple of errors in the pattern and I apologise for this. These errors have now been corrected and an updated version of the pattern is now in the stitch library.
I have found that Creeping Vines is one of those patterns where breaking the stitch numbers down into manageable ‘bits’ using markers make it easier to keep the pattern correct.
I am knitting a cardigan based on the Creeping Vines pattern and having markers are a lifesaver.
In the stitch library version, I have knitted a swatch of 47 stitches, (being 2 repeats of 22 plus 3). This means placing a marker after the following stitch number:
Row 1: 13, M1 22, M2 12
Row 3: 3, M1 22, M2 22
Row 5: 19, M1 22, M2 6
Row 7: 20, M1 22, M2 5
Row 9: 21, M1 22, M2 4
Row 11: 22, M1 22, M2 3
Row 13: 23, M1 22, M2 2
Row 15: 24, M1 22, M2 1
