Oatmeal is a textured long-lined cardigan. In this design, I used four textured patterns – diamond textured stitch, moss stitch diagonal, zigzag moss stitch and a v-shaped stitch to create a bold and creative look.

The stocking stitch bodice and sleeves provides contrast and relief to the textured stitch patterns.

Very early in the design process, I made the decision not to include buttons/buttonholes. I wanted to make the textured patterns the stand-out feature of the cardigan. Having said that, I do think adding a brooch or a shawl pin adds an elegant touch to the finished look.

At the moment, the pattern is available on Ravelry with written instruction only. Charts will be added to the pattern after Christmas/New Year.
