No knitting for one week aka Seven…Long…Days

Irish Rose

Today has been one of those days that has, in these troubled times, gone from being okay to being just a big sigh.

The morning started like any other – coffee, the news read on my iPad and breakfast. All in that order and all good.

Then, it started to go downhill.

I had to be at the Dermatologist’s rooms for an appointment at 7.50am. Now, his rooms are at least 45 minutes drive from our house (on a good run), so we left quite early to get there on time.

Traffic was not too bad as everyone is staying home – I was a bit concerned we would be pulled over by the police asking us why we were so far away from home, but we were not.

I love my Dermatologist. He is a real honey. After the stitches were taken out of my hand, he breezily told me not to use it very much – in particular, in activities that pull the hand/fingers into a ball.

For at least one week. That is: Seven…Whole…Days.

Translated: No knitting for this time – not even a row or two. I know this because I asked him that question.

Sigh!

So, my current knitting design sits forlornly on the lounge floor with me looking at it.

It is not all gloom and doom though. I have the new design, Irish Rose to finish writing up but today was not the day.

I have instead read my book and soon I will go for my walk.

Writing about Irish Rose can be done tomorrow or maybe the next day.

Hope your day has gone better than mine.
